Gossips About the new 2021 Acura Integra

As we have already mentioned, there are many rumors around that the new 2021 Acura Integra may happen shortly. Back in time, the Acura Integra was one of the first front-wheel-drive coupe models that have been extremely fun to drive. Also, as you may know, the Integra Type R has earned great status on the market as one of the best sports cars ever made. However, due to not good sales over the years, the manufacturer decided to put it out of production.

Knowing that information, and given the fact that Acura Integra is made for younger buyers in the first place, the manufacturer should at least consider the idea of a reborn it.

Acura Type R/S Was One of the Best Models on the Market

The legendary Acura Integra Type R was one of Honda’s most beloved models. As you may know, this car is also available in the US market. In terms of performance, the Integra Type R uses a Honda K20A 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated, four-cylinder engine that produces an output of 197 horses. Thanks to that, the Integra Type R has been capable of reaching 62 mph in just 6.05. As you can see, this number is pretty solid for a 2.0-liter atmosphere that is old over a decade.

Acura RSX Type S comes with a little stronger engine and it provides more output. This engine consists of a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve VTEC four-cylinder that delivers 207 horses. Thanks to this engine, the Type S model is able to run from zero to 62 mph in 6 seconds, which is around 0.05 seconds better than the Type R model. Moreover, compared to these two models, it’s obvious that Type S is the model that gives better ratios and a fraction more power.

Something closest to the Japanese model DC5 Integra Type R is the current lineup of the famous Civic Type R. This uniquely beast is offering impressive horsepower, handling, and style. Under the hood, this front-drive hatchback offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that delivers 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. With this powertrain, the latest Civic Type R is able to run from zero to 60 mph in 6-second, while the top speed is 169 mph.
