2021 Honda CB650R Gets Better Styling and SFF BP Forks

The new 2021 Honda CB650R is finally getting some important changes. Aside from new color options, the forthcoming model also gains better suspension, a tweaked riding position, and Euro5 certification.

Honda’s engineers have worked hard to improve this bike, and from the information that we got, the CB650R offers one of the best comforts and handling on the market. Honda also reveals that the new bike will arrive at some point in the next year, with the starting price of around $9,000, without destination charge.

The classy looking 2021 Honda CB650R will get some small visual changes that will make it more competitive. At first glance, the new bike will feature smaller side panels enhancing the bike’s neat design. As mentioned, the CB650R offers one new color, Pearl Smoky Gray, alongside exists Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic, Candy Chromosphere Red, and Matt Jeans Blue Metallic.

However, the biggest change for the 2021 model is the new Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SFF BP) forks. The upgrade to the SFF BP forks should provide the bike better stability and handling. We must mention, that the same forks are present on the Honda CB125R. The manufacturer will also add more graphics to the existing LCD screen, making it easy to read.

Engine Specs

Like the predecessor, the new 2021 Honda CB650R will be powered by the same engine. This model uses a liquid-cooled 4-stroke 16-valve DOHC inline-4 cylinder design, delivering more smoother and faster revving than most twins.

It also offers ample low- to midrange torque, plus plenty of power through the entire rev range. On top of that, Honda connected this engine to a six-speed transmission, providing nearly seamless shifts, matching the way you want to ride. As mentioned, the forthcoming model will satisfy the Euro5 norm, which is excellent.

The newest 2021 Honda CB650R will feature some tweaks and updates compared to the predecessor. Basically, it will gain more color options, a new suspension, some styling updates, and finally, Euro5 certification. According to Honda, the upgraded bike will arrive at some point in the next year, and it will cost around $9,000 without a destination charge of $380.
