The 2021 Honda CBR650R has just been revealed with new features and some improvements. If you didn’t know, Honda CBR650R is a very popular sports-tourer that will receive minor change for the year 2021.
According to Honda, the forthcoming motorcycle will provide better stability, sporty riding experience, and a new Showa 41mm Separate Function Big Piston fork (SFF-BP). Also, there have been some changes in the engine department resulting in Euro V emission norms. The manufacturer now offers a 649cc engine with revised ECU mapping, intake timing, cam lobes, and better exhausts system.
2021 Honda CBR650R Design Updates
The upcoming Honda CBR650R at first glance is looking the same as the predecessor. However, some small improvements are visible, giving this motorcycle more sporty vibes. First of all, the new motorcycle’s subtle design changes include a redesigned number plate mount and updated side panels. Showa 41mm SFF-BP USD forks are a significant upgrade that delivers high damping performance and lighter weight. Like before, the new bike comes with the same aluminum wheels mount 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 front and rear tires.
The manufacturer also revised its front LED headlights, improving visibility. Other noticeable changes include better graphics on the LCD, giving easy access to all important bike information. Also, the USB Type-C charging socket under the seat is available as well.
Colors
The CBR650R will be available with two color options. The Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic looks excellent, featuring discreet silver accent lines adding to the ‘stealth’ appeal. The candy Chromosphere Red version is also on the offer, and it employs sharp black/white graphics.
Engine Specs
As we mentioned, there have been some changes in the engine section. The new motorcycle 2021 Honda CBR650R is now resulting in Euro V emission norms. It comes with the same 649cc engine that now gets revised ECU mapping, intake timing, cam lobes, and exhaust. However, as before, the engine continues to produce the same 95 hp and 63 Nm of torque.
2021 Honda CBR650R Release Date and Price
The 2021 Honda CBR650R has shown to the public, with some small updates. From the information that we got, the new bike will arrive later this year.
As you probably know, Honda CBR650R replaced the highly-popular CBR650F model in the Indian market, more than a year ago. Overall, expect a slight price jump from the current ABS model that starts around $10,000.
