The new 2021 Honda Jazz will use the same powertrain as the Fit. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that provides 130 horsepower. Like the Fit model, the Jazz will also use the same 6-speed manual transmission, while higher trims will be offered with new CVT.
The Honda Jazz called eHEV will be available only in Europe. This model will be electrified and it will use a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC gasoline powertrain and two electric motors. Besides, it comes with a lithium-ion battery. From some reliable information, this combination will deliver a total output of 107 horses, which is not so good nowadays. Lastly, Honda Jazz accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 9.4 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 108 mph.
Final Thoughts, Price, and Release Date
An entry-level 2021 Honda Jazz that uses the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and 6-speed manual transmission will cost less than $17,000. As you can see, this small car is very affordable. However, added CVT system, the price will jump by $800. However, the eHEV will be an exclusive model for Europe and it will cost around €26,250. According to the latest info, the Jazz will be available later this year.
Besides great styling and roomy cabin, this model offers more cargo space than rivals like Mitsubishi Mirage, Kia Rio 5-door, Nissan Versa Note, and Chevrolet Sonic.
