The latest 2021 Honda Pilot is just around the corner. From the latest report, the new model will be redesigned and it will feature one new trim called Special Edition. According to Honda, the 2021 Honda Pilot Special Edition will get some additional upgrades compared to other trim levels.

This trim is basically based on the middle EX-L trim as a starting point and it features more amenities. As you probably know, Pilot is also available as the Black Edition model. From the information that we dig, the upcoming Special Edition will cost little less than $39,000 for the two-wheel-drive layout. However, adding all-wheel-drive system, the price will jump by almost $2000 more.

2021 Honda Pilot Special Edition Features Attractive Design

The visual outlook of the 2021 Honda Pilot Special Edition is attractive and unique. This handsome three-row model features a way better styling than the base model. We can clearly say that SE model sits between the regular model and Black Edition. The new SE hosts a more recognized grille, beautiful 20-inch black wheels, and standard roof rails.

Black Edition is a top trim that comes with many black elements. This model features blackout grille, black-painted wheels, window surround, and door sash.

Interior Host Plenty of Additional Elements

The cabin of the new Special Edition trim looks more modern inside than the regular model. According to Honda, this model will come with several additional features. First of all, the Special Edition trim features a comfortable cabin that includes leather seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charger, and so on.

Besides this new trim, the manufacturer also offers the same trim levels as before. Pilot Touring that is above SE trim sports great luxury package. This trim includes a built-in navigation system, Wi-Fi, heated second-row seats, and parking sensors. The Pilot Elite is also available, and it hosts excellent dual moonroof, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming and power-folding side mirrors, and a heated steering wheel.

2021 Honda Pilot Special Edition Engine Specs

The same engine will power the upcoming 2021 Honda Pilot Special Edition as the rest of the lineup. That means Special Edition will use a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 that is capable of producing 280 hp and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. Unlike the EX-L that uses six-speed automatic transmission, the Special model comes with a new standard nine-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to that, we are assuming lower fuel consumption.

Like on all trim levels, there are 2WD or Honda’s Intelligent Variable Torque Management (iVTM-4) all-wheel-drive system options. Moreover, buyers that purchase Elite or Black Edition top trims will get AWD exclusively.
