2023 Acura NSX: Everything We Know So Far

0

After Acura announced its intent to bring back the Integra nameplate, we heard many rumors regarding the refreshed 2023 Acura NSX. From information that’s available, the new NSX may hit the roads next year. So, it seems the rumors about the discontinued of this model appear to have been incorrect.

Like before, we expect the next-generation model to be powered by the same four motors. This model uses a twin-turbocharged V6 and electric motor, results in combined 573 horsepower. If that somehow isn’t enough for you, the manufacturer also offers a Type S model with a bumped output of 600 hp, and torque of 492 lb. ft.

2023 Acura NSX Exterior Changes

Outside, we don’t expect some significant changes to see at all on the next-generation 2023 Acura NSX. Of course, the manufacturer will refresh some parts of this sports car to keep up with tradition, but that’s all. Expect no less modern design, with the same shapes and proportions.

On the other hand, Type S is distinguished by more aggressive styling, featuring a nose that has more angular air intakes. The aerodynamics were improved compared to the regular model thanks to a larger rear diffuser and a reshaped front spoiler.

What`s New Inside?

Compared to its predecessor, we don’t expect too many changes on the 2023 Acura NSX. The new 2-seater will provide the same seating layout and don’t expect much room for luggage. In standard form, the NSX will come with the upholstery, which is a mix of leather and Alcantara. In addition, a full-semi-aniline leather upholstery is optional. One downside of the current model is definitively its infotainment system.

So, we are hoping Acura will add much bigger infotainment than the current 7-inch touchscreen. Other features that should come as standard include keyless entry/start, dual-zone automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Bluetooth, heated seats, leather/Alcantara upholstery, and ambient cabin lighting.

2023 Acura NSX Powertrain Specs

Under the hood, the forthcoming 2023 Acura NSX will probably use the same engine as its predecessor. The current model uses a twin-turbocharged V6 and electric motor, delivering a combined 573 horsepower. The NSX thanks to this engine is among the quickest cars in the class. Acura claims that it can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds. If that somehow isn’t enough for you, there is also a more powerful Type S model.

The high-performance variant uses the same engine configuration, but it delivers output of 600 hp, and torque of 492 lb. ft. It also has a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. As you can see, the NSX is supercar that offers an incredible amount of performance for a much lower cost than a rival Porsche or Lamborghini.
