We’re expecting the Honda Accord Type R to also come with a much better cabin and to be filled with plenty of technologies. Many believe that if this model happens, it will simply borrow the Civic Type R’s engine as well. The current model is using a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s capable of producing 306-hp.

Inside, the 2023 Honda Accord Type R looks more sportier than the regular model. From what we can see, the manufacturer redesigned its cabin, adding more quality materials and some red accents. However, as the regular model, the Honda Accord Type R comes with the same sloping roof that doesn’t affect rear headroom too much.

So, we’re expecting the same rear legroom of 40.4 inches. At the front, the manufacturer added more comfortable seats, as well as more user-friendly infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen. Trunk volume is one of the best-in-class, and with 16.7 cubic feet, you will be able to place many items.

2023 Honda Accord Type R Engine Rumors

As we mentioned, the Honda Accord Type R will probably share the same mechanics with the recently introduced Civic Type R. That means we could see the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that under the Civic Type R produces 306 horses.

However, we believe that this engine under the hood of the Honda Accord Type R could even produce more horses. How does 350-HP or even more sound to you? There are also possibilities that Honda will introduce some sort of electrifications to provide such amounts of horses.
