2023 Honda Ridgeline Will Be Probably Powered by a Hybrid Powertrain

1

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline mid-size truck will be redesigned for the next year, and it will be reportedly powered by a new hybrid system. From information that we got, the forthcoming truck will set some small exterior and interior enhancements to keep up with other mid-sized trucks in the class.

So, expect the exterior to be more modern, and the interior to offer more standard equipment. Obviously, the most exciting news is a hybrid powertrain that will probably consist of a similar system we saw in the Ford Maverick. This model is powered by a 2.5-liter Atkinson inline-4 + 94-kW battery with 191 hp and 155 lb.-ft of torque.

2023 Honda Ridgeline Facelift

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline will receive some small enhancements, but it will still keep the design as the last-year model. Definitely, the small enhancements will separate the hybrid model from the gasoline-powered variant. From what we know, the manufacturer will make some refreshments on the front and rear fascia to get competed with the other mid-sized truck.

First of all, we can expect a revised grille, a redesigned hood and the LED headlights. Alongside the hybrid model, the Black Edition is also one of the favorite models. This one comes with a more appealing blacked-out grille and a much more aggressive style. It also rolls on 19-ich wheels, resulting in a sportier stance.

Cabin Changes

Considering that the 2023 Honda Ridgeline is closely related to the Honda Pilot SUV, we expect it to share the same modern interior. More significant, the forthcoming Honda Ridgeline comes with a spacious and roomy cabin that can accommodate five adults comfortably. Thanks to a 60/40 split rear seat, you can even put a bicycle in the back with ease.

Moreover, as standard, this truck offers an 8-inch infotainment screen with better graphics, tri-zone automatic climate control, and also Apple Car Play and Android Auto as standard. Honda Sensing safety suite and adaptive cruise control are standard as well.

2023 Honda Ridgeline Engine Specs

The new 2023 Honda Ridgeline will be for the first time available with a hybrid system. According to many rumors, the forthcoming truck will likely use the similar setup as the Ford Maverick. The current Maverick will come with a 2.5-liter Atkinson inline-4 + 94-kW battery pack.

The engine uses an electronic continuously variable transmission, and it produces 191 total system horsepower. However, we expect Honda Ridgeline to produce at least 250 horses in total. The current model is powered by a gasoline 3.5-liter V6 engine with 280 hp and 265 lb.-ft of torque.

Release Date, Price

The fresh new Honda Ridgeline pickup will likely go on sale next year as the 2023-year model. It will feature some small enhancements, but we don’t expect the exterior to drastically differ from the current look. In general, this mid-size truck looks great, and it offers a very comfortable cabin for five passengers.

However, considering that this model will be a hybrid, you can expect it to be more expensive but not too drastic. The current non-hybrid model starts at $32,500, and it can go up to $45,000 with the Black Edition trim.
