2024 Honda Pilot Is Coming Next Summer

0

The eagerly anticipated 2024 Honda Pilot has been sadly delayed until the next year. The redesigned model, which represents the fourth generation, is expected to reach dealerships in late 2023 as a 2024 model. As you probably know, a few weeks ago, the new three-row SUV Pilot was spied testing for the first time.

Judging from the latest spy shots, the upcoming Honda Pilot will come more rugged compared to the current model. In general, expect the new SUV to use some influences from the next-generation Ridgeline pickup truck. Like before, the Pilot will come with a 3.5-liter V-6, rated at 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. Interestingly, the same setup is available on the redesigned Acura MDX model as well.

Is Honda Coming Out with a New Pilot?

The new spy shots are available, and the redesigned 2024 Honda Pilot will look more rugged thanks to a new proportion. Dimensionally, the new SUV is similar to the current Acura MDX, which features an extra 2.8 inches of length in its wheelbase compared to its predecessor.

It is also worth noting that the Pilot is using the same platform as the Acura MDX. We recommended stepping up for the top Black Edition, which comes with 20-inch alloy wheels and various body parts all painted in black.

Interior Upgrades

The 2024 Honda Pilot should offer a very comfortable interior. There is inside seating for eight passengers in the Sport and EX-L trims, while seven in the Elite and Black Edition models. On top of that, the cabin is quiet and excellent for long road trips.

Passengers will find 38.4 inches of rear legroom in the second row, while the third row has 31.9 inches of rear legroom. Cargo space is also excellent with 16.5 cubic feet to a maximum of 109.2 cubic feet. We’re expecting the new SUV to offer a larger infotainment system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, satellite radio, ,3-zone automatic climate control, plus standard Honda Sensing array of driver assistance features.

2024 Honda Pilot Engine Specs

Just like its predecessor, the 2024 Honda Pilot will come with the same solo engine. However, there are rumors that Honda could also introduce a new plug-in hybrid option at some point.

The current model comes with a 3.5-liter V-6, rated at 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. The engine is hooked to a 10-speed automatic. As we said, the same setup is available in redesigned Acura MDX. The drive of Plot should be to the front wheels as standard, but you can also count on all-wheel drive optional.
