The all-new 2022 Honda CB1000X has been confirmed to arrive at the end of this year alongside the CBR1000R version. With the introduction of the new Euro5 compliant engines, most brands will refresh their models in the following years to stay competitive. From the latest news, Honda would be the first manufacturer to refresh its line of models and add new ones.
The new adventure sportbike, namely CB1000X, should be the first motorcycle that will open the season. In the same class are many models as well, and CB1000X will have a tough task competing with models such as BMW S1000XR and Ducati Multistrada 1260 S.
2022 Honda CB1000X Design
The all-new 2022 Honda CB1000X is arriving, and that’s the most exciting news. Alongside this model, we also got some renderings of the 1000R model. Looking at these motorcycles, we realize that the CB1000X will have a Honda CB4X concept-inspired styling, while the CBR1000R design is closer to the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade-like.
Generally, both motorcycles are attractive, and we cannot give an advantage to any of these bikes. The Honda CB1000X features a semi-faired design, with a blacked-out finish on the engine, alloy wheels, and seats. The most interestingly part is that both models are offered with a same digital instrument console.
2022 Honda CB1000X Powertrain Specs
At this point, there is no news about engine figures. To stay competitive, the new 2022 Honda CB1000X must deliver some serious power. There are many rivals in the segment, and the main BMW S1000XR provides 165 hp, while the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S generates 158 hp.
So, if Honda wants to beat them both, it must make a machine with at least 170 horses. There’s a strong possibility that Honda could use the same 1000cc version from the CB1000R. In other words, expect very strong outputs and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Release Date and Price
The 2022 Honda CB1000X will arrive probably at the end of this year alongside the new 1000R. From some renderings available, we can expect a serious machine. It looks handsome, and it promises a comfort level to match the rival model Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX.
