One of the most selling models, Honda Civic, is ready to introduce further updates. The forthcoming 2021 Honda Civic will come with more aggressive styling compared to the current model. As before, this model will be available as a sedan, hatchback, and coupe. The hatchbacks are built in the United Kingdom, while the regular sedan is made in Greensburg, Indiana, as well as the Canadian factory. Moreover, we must mention that powertrains and transmissions are assembled in Ohio.
In terms of design, a mild update is happening and the upcoming Civic will look visually better than before.
2021 Honda Civic Outside Styling
Honda is a famous brand that offers great styling. The upcoming 2021 Honda Civic will be available as a sedan, hatchback, and coupe model. All versions provide their own uniqueness and are ranged above Mazda3, Kia Forte, Volkswagen Jetta sedan, Volkswagen Golf hatchback, and the new Toyota Corolla.
The overall design is attractive and the hatchback model difference from the sedan model thanks to its bulbous rear end, high-mounted spoiler and oversized fake vents on the rear bumper. Moreover, going for the Sport and Sport Touring models, buyers will get more aggressive with dual exhaust outlets and its own cosmetic treatment. The Type R is also available and it includes hood scoop, three exhaust pipes, and a massive rear spoiler.
Cabin Looks Refreshed
The cabin of the Honda Civic has always been one of the best in class. So, the new 2021 Honda Civic will continue than tradition. Interior space is among the best in the compact-car class. Sedan model reveals an impressive 37.4 inches rear legroom with the trunk space of 15.1 cubic feet. However, Civic hatchback also does well and it provides 25.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats, and 46.2 cubic feet folded down the rear bench.
The less expensive LX sedan comes with a Honda Sensing driver aids, automatic climate control, a 5-inch infotainment display, Bluetooth phone/audio, USB port, and a 4-speaker sound system. As you can see, there are plenty of standard features. The most luxurious trim is Touring. This one will be equipped with a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, navigation, and a 10-speaker/450-watt audio system.
Engine Performance
The latest 2021 Honda Civic will continue its journey with the same engine options under the hood. Depending on trim, four-engine versions will power this model. The first engine is a 2.0-liter inline-4 that delivers 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. This version is available with trims (LX, Sport Sedan, Sport Coupe) and it will use a 6-speed manual transmission.
The next powertrain comes with trims (LX hatchback, EX, EX-L, Touring sedan, and coupe). This powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 that makes 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque and it also uses 6-speed manual transmission.
Furthermore, with the trims (Sport, Sport Touring hatchback), one can also get the same 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 as the previous one with some mechanical modifications. With that, we meant that this model would provide slightly more horsepower. The same powertrain also powers the Si model and it delivers 205 horsepower. Moreover, the most potent powertrain of 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 powers Type R version and it delivers 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Unlike all engines above, this one will use continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

The latest 2021 Honda Civic lineup starts with an LX that uses a manual transmission. This model starts at $20,680 and it includes destination charge. The most expensive is the Civic Type R model and it cost $37,230.

However, we think that due to the Coronavirus outbreak, a release date may be moved for the end of this year.
Pros and Cons
There are so many pros of the 2021 Honda Civic model. This model is compact on the outside and roomy on the inside. On top of that, it provides a wide range of engines and is available as a sedan, hatchback, and coupe. Cons remain to be the same as before and there are no all-wheel-drive or diesel options again. Besides, higher trims are too pricey.
