The best selling model on the market 2021 Honda Pilot will receive numerous refreshments for the following year. This SUV is the largest and the most capable on the market right now. It comes with a great design and it provides a comfortable cabin with three-row of seats and enough rooms for seven occupants. Thanks to its great arrangments inside, it offers slightly more rear-seat room than many rivals. Besides that, there`s plenty of cargo and enough space behind the third row for all the luggage of every passenger.

One of the best highlights is lying under the hood of this model. The Honda Pilot is offered with two powertrain options and both ones provide excellent fuel economy, which makes this SUV very efficient.

2021 Honda Pilot Design and Color Options

The last model that is totally refreshed is the current Honda Pilot. According to some statistics, Honda is introducing a new-gen Pilot every five years. However, the new 2021 Honda Pilot will get some small improvements but nothing significant. The design and shape will remain the same and we can see the same boxy and rugged appearance. Interestingly, according to the manufacturer, the new model will come with improved aerodynamics.

The changes that are most visible are revised grille, reworked bumpers, new lighting, and bolder wheels. Everything else is the same as in the previous model. No doubt, the latest Pilot will be visually better and it will get more paint options. Exactly, there will be eight colors that include Steel Sapphire Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Deep Scarlet Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, and Black Forest Pearl.

Interior Changes

The interior of the 2021 Honda Pilot is one of the best in its class. This model offers more modern touches and comfortable cabin than the many SUVs in the same segment doesn’t have. As we mentioned, the upcoming Honda Pilot comes with three rows of seats and enough space for seven occupants. Still, there is not so comfortable on the third row for adults, but it`s ideal for children.

Like before the same arrangements are implanted into the new model. There will be plenty of standard and optional features. Furthermore, if one jumps to EX trim that is recommended, it will get an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, and text-messaging support.

2021 Honda Pilot Powertrain Specs

Under the hood, the latest version 2021 Honda Pilot will be equipped with the same engine option as before. The base model uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower. This system includes Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology. The VCM system allows the engine to work on fewer cylinders when cruising on the highway. Also, a 6-speed automatic transmission and the front-wheel-drive system are standard on the trims LX, EX and EX-L.

However, going up for trims like touring, Elite or Black Edition trim, the Honda Pilot swaps its 6-speed automatic for a 9-speed automatic with paddle shifters and quirky push-button controls. Idle Stop system is included with this version.

2021 Honda Pilot Price and Release Date

Pricing for the 2021 Honda Pilot will remain the same. The latest LX trim starts at $32,645 and it includes the destination charge of $1,095. Going up to EX trim, the price rises to $35,500. The Pilot EX-L sits in the middle and it provides great value for invested money. This model starts at $38,955.

Higher trims like Touring cost $43,715, while Elite window sticker reads $49,215. The most expensive trim is the Black Edition that can easily touch a $50,000 mark. The new mid-size three-row SUV will go on sale later this year.

Pros and Cons

The upcoming 2021 Honda Pilot is the family-friendly three-row SUV that provides great comfort inside for all occupants. Besides that, there is enough cargo space for every language that you put in. This is definitively an advantage over the rivals in the same segment. Smoot drive, comfy cockpit, and many optional features are also pros of this model.

Things we don’t like are hard-to-use multimedia system, lowest-scoring when it came to child-safety seat fitment, and safety and driver-assist tech that needs more assistance.
