If you’re seeking for a new sedan that’s affordable, comfortable, and offers plenty of safety tech, then check out the forthcoming 2023 Honda Insight. The new model will reportedly arrive later this year with a starting MSRP of $25,760 for the base EX trim. Besides small exterior refreshments, the latest Insight should also come with a more comfortable cabin, featuring excellent Honda Sensing safety tech suite.
However, like before, this compact car will continue to use the same solo engine powered by the hybrid system. The hybrid/electric motor produces a total output of 151 horsepower, and is very efficient.
2023 Honda Insight Redesign
The exterior design of the 2023 Honda Insight is the most attractive so far. Actually, this car wears Honda’s latest design language and recognized DNA that we also saw on its siblings like the Civic and Accord. Some exterior features that we will separate are automatic LED headlights, LED taillights, and heated mirrors.
In addition, if you go for the Touring trim, you’ll get some classy chrome exterior trim, LED fog lights, and a moonroof. As for the size, this car is almost the exact size as the Toyota Corolla Hybrid sedan.
Modern and Comfortable Interior
Inside, the forthcoming 2023 Honda Insight will look more stylish than its predecessor. This car offers pleasant design and lots of tech features that are easy to use. Interior space is pretty generous with plenty of seating space. The basic model includes automatic climate control, an 8-inch infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, and HD radio rear-seat armrest.
Moreover, additional features such as the leather seating, dual-zone climate control, auto-dimming mirror, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are available on the upper Touring model. As standard equipment, the Insight also includes a Honda Sensing bundle with a forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, road departure mitigation, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition.
2023 Honda Insight Engine Specs
Under the hood, the 2023 Honda Insight comes with the same hybrid powertrain. It uses a hybrid/electric motor that makes a total output of 151 horsepower. It’s also worth mentioning that every Insight comes with a CVT automatic transmission delivering power to the front wheels.
Unfortunately, an all-wheel drive is once again not available. As far as we know, this car will use one electric motor that will be capable of making 129 horses. Both the EX and Touring trims provide excellent fuel economy, but the EX is the most efficient. The current EPA city/highway fuel economy is 55/49 mpg (EX), and 51/45 mpg for the Touring model.
2023 Honda Insight Price, Release Date
The price of the 2023 Honda Insight starts at $25,760 for the base EX trim. However, upgrading to the Touring trim will cost you a little less than $30,000, plus a destination charge of $1,015.
Honda claims that we can expect the new version to appear sometime this year, probably at the end. Interestingly, the Honda Insight is a direct competitor to the Toyota Corolla Hybrid, which is similar in size and price.
