After a slight refresh last year, the forthcoming 2023 Honda Accord will arrive with no meaningful updates. Reportedly, the new compact sedan will receive mild upgrades, mostly inside. Although SUVs and crossovers are the most popular haulers these days, we think that Accord can do most things your average compact crossover can do.
This sedan has excellent handling, which gives drivers more convenience on the twisty road. On top of that, comfort is one of the best, and you can get many optional amenities. Like before, this sedan will be powered by two turbocharged engines and one Hybrid that provides a more efficient twist.
2023 Honda Accord Redesign
The upcoming 2023 Honda Accord mid-size sedan will reportedly arrive with no significant updates. America’s most trusted car will continue with the same traditional design language, featuring attractive front fascia. For 2023 the Accord gets a few minor exterior tweaks. First of all, this sedan includes a slightly wider grille and front fascia.
As far as we know, the trims like Sport and above will get new LED headlights for improved illumination. Wheels range in size from 17 to 19 inches, and they are all very stylish. Behind, the Accord comes with the same sloped rear roofline, resulting in a fastback style.
Cabin Upgrades
The new 2023 Honda Accord’s interior is surprisingly spacious and is very modern as well. As before, this mid-size sedan offers excellent legroom and headroom, while rear-seat passengers, in particular, will be happier in an Accord than in any other sedan. Lower trim levels come with attractive and comfortable cloth seats, while more amenities are offered on the upper trim like Touring.
All models feature touchscreen infotainment of an 8.0-inch display, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto capability. Honda also offers a 10-speaker premium 450-watt amplifier on the EX-L model, while lesser trims have either a four or eight-speaker system.
2023 Honda Accord Engine Specs
Under the hood, the upcoming 2023 Honda Accord will use as standard a 192-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder. However, as optional, you can get more favorite turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 252-hp. This model uses a 10-speed automatic transmission that shifts very smoothly. A hybrid is also available, and it consists of a four-cylinder and two electric motors, delivering a total of 212 horses.
According to Honda, the Accord on the highway loop, with the Touring 2.0T, has EPA rated 35 mpg. In the same class, Toyota Camry is rated at 29 mpg with a V6 engine that develops 301 hp. As for Hybrid, it has an EPA rating of 48 mpg city/48 mpg highway/48 mpg combined.
When Can We Expect the 2023 Honda Accord?
The new edition 2023 Honda Accord will probably hit markets in the first quarter of the following year. However, considering that the outgoing model was updated last year, the new sedan will keep the same design. Moreover, the most visual changes will be inside because Honda will add more quality materials and techs.
As before, the Accord will be available in six trim levels. The first and the standard is LX that starts at $26,000, afterward Hybrid costs $28,000, Sport $29,000, Sport SE $30,000, EX-L $33,000, and the Touring $38,000. The Chevrolet Malibu and the Toyota Camry stand out in this class by offering much more for invested money.
