2023 Acura TLX: Redesign, Engine Specs, Release Date, and Price

The new 2023 Acura TLX will reportedly arrive later this year. This premium sedan is one of the most compact cars in its class. It competes with a wide range of potent rivals such as the BMW 3 Series, Genesis G70, Lexus IS, Audi A4, Volvo S60, and the Kia Stinger.

Based on news, the forthcoming model will come with minor changes, considering that the total redesign happened last year. As before, the new TLX will be powered with a standard turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 272-horsepower. As you can see, this engine provides plenty of performance, and it’s available with all-wheel drive (AWD).

2023 Acura TLX Design

The design of the 2023 Acura TLX is unique and is one of our favorite. This sedan is recognized by an attractive diamond-shaped grille and very attractive LED headlights. Alongside the standard model, you can also get more sporty Type S that comes with lightweight Shark Gray Y-spoke alloy wheels with red calipers and Brembo brakes. On top of that, the low roof of this sedan provides sporty vibe. Unlike the base version, the Type S is also available with exclusive Tiger Eye Pearl paint finish.

The 2023 Acura TLX looks sporty and modern inside. The build quality and materials are classy, and unlike the predecessor, the new sedan comes with more supportive seats. Although the exterior dimensions are more midsize than compact, this hasn’t translated inside.

The TLX offers 34.9-inch legroom, which is much less than the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series have. As for the infotainment system, the 10.2-inch display remains but is updated. Also, the TLX has Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, natural voice recognition, and 10 speakers audio system. There are also plenty of standard safety features including forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams.

2023 Acura TLX Engine Specs

Like the outgoing model, the new 2023 Acura TLX will use the same powertrain. Under the hood of the base model is a proven turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 272-horsepower. The engine is coupled to a 10-speed automatic, which provides smooth and quick shifting.

To significantly raise the game, the manufacturer also offers Type S model. Unlike the base model, this one uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that sends 355 horsepower to all four wheels. However, it comes with the same 10-speed automatic transmission.
