Sad news for all TLX lovers. It seems that the new sedan will be postponed for the next year. The new 2024 Acura TLX will reportedly introduce many improvements over its predecessor. This premium sedan is one of the most popular in its class, and it competes with a wide range of potent rivals, including the BMW 3 Series, Genesis G70, Lexus IS, Audi A4, and Volvo S60, and the Kia Stinger.
Besides an attractive exterior, the forthcoming sedan also offers modern styling inside and plenty of room for up to five passengers. It is powered by a standard 272-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. As you can see, it has plenty of performance for every type of driving scenario. If this is not enough for you, you should check out the Type S model with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that sends 355 horsepower to all-wheel drive.
2024 Acura TLX Changes
After a few years of fading into the background against so many strong competitors, the 2024 Acura TLX is finally here as a real competitor. However, considering that last year’s model received a total redesign, we don’t expect anything significant at all. For the 2024 model, the manufacturer will make this sedan more stylish thanks to some small tweaks.
First of all, it will introduce some new colors and trim options. The proportions of this sedan will remain the same, as will the design. For those who may be looking for something sportier, the Type S is the real deal. This model comes with beefier Brembo brakes, a sportier suspension setup, and sleek 20-inch alloy wheels.
The design inside is updated, and the 2024 Acura TLX looks very premium thanks to high-quality materials, including open-pore wood and real aluminum. More specifically, the highlights are definitely its sporty characteristics.
As standard, the TLX includes an attractive analog gauge, a large 10.5-inch head-up display, and customizable ambient lighting. It also has a 10.2-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The new ELS sound system and a wireless charging pad are available with the Advance package.
2024 Acura TLX Engine Specs
As before, the 2024 Acura TLX will be powered by the same 272-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This model sends power to front-wheel drive, while Acura’s all-wheel-drive system, which is called SH-AWD, is optional.
The next engine is more potent and it powers the performance Type S model. This engine produces 355 hp with a turbo 3.0-liter V-6. It comes with responsive 10-speed auto transmission, a sportier suspension setup, and SH-AWD as standard. There are some rumors that the next generation could introduce a new zero-emission model.
Will There Be a 2024 Acura TLX?
As far as we know, the new 2024 Acura TLX premium sedan will be available in seven trim levels. The base model starts at $40,000, Technology at $43,000, A-Specs is $46,000, Advance $48,000, Type S $55,000, while the Type S PMC costs $58,000.
All the mentioned trims above will reportedly be available for purchase in the second half of next year. When released, the new TLX will rival models such as the BMW 3 Series, Genesis G70, Lexus IS, Audi A4, Volvo S60, and the Kia Stinger.
