The upcoming 2021 Acura CDX will be a great designed crossover. This compact SUV will sit on the new platform that also underpinnings Acura MDX model. Also, its (ACE) body construction is designed to reduce and disperse force in front crashes. From the latest images, we can see that this crossover is wearing desirable design language.
The front hosts signature Jewel Eye headlights and a large grille. At the back, the LED taillights shape looks quite similar to the Toyota RAV4. Dimensionally, this compact crossover is smaller than the RDX. It measures wheelbase of 104.7 inches, length of 177.1 inches, width 72,4 inches and height of this SUV is 63.6 inch. Besides, the manufacturer used more chrome materials visible on roof rails, rocker panels, side window openings and on the rear bumper.
Interior Layout
The interior of the all-new Acura CDX will be more than stylish. This model comes with two rows of seats and it offers plenty of rooms for all passengers. There will be precisely room for five of them. Like the Precision Concept, the new Acura CDX will use the same layout inside.
The dashboard and centre console look modern and we can see many innovative technology integrations. The seats offer excellent comfort, and they are wrapped in brown leather surfaces with black contrast stitching. According to Acura, the new model will also get a leather steering wheel with a heating function and paddle shifters. Besides, this model will offer a great package of safety that will include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist and so on.
2021 Acura CDX Engine Specs, Hybrid
Under the hood of 2021 Acura CDX is the powertrain that can be also found on some of Acura’s models. This perfect crossover is using a 1.5-litre powertrain that generates 180 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain comes with 8-speed automatic gearbox. As for the fuel economy, the upcoming CDX will come with a start/stop system that will significantly improve fuel consumption.
The hybrid model is another possibility. According to the reports from many websites, 2021 Acura CDX will get a hybrid variant as well. This unit will use two electric motors and a 1.5-litre engine. Moreover, we are still waiting for output and fuel economy numbers.
2021 Acura CDX Price and Release Date
As for the price, we expect that the new 2021 Acura CDX starts around $32,000. This model will be cheaper than its sibling RDX, which starts at $39,000.
The release date is set for this year, and we assume that this crossover will be available to purchase sometime in winter. The main rival in the same price range is Lexus UX 200, that starts just above $32,000.
