2023 Honda CR-V Spied Testing for the Second Time This Year

The new 2023 Honda CR-V is spied testing, and it should arrive sometime next year. We must be direct with all the fans, but the next generation doesn’t look so compact anymore. The fifth-generation Honda CR-V was unveiled in 2016 and got a facelift about three years later.

However, in March 2021, the new model spies, for the first time, but it was far away from objectives. Interestingly, a few days ago, the prototype caught testing again, but is now covered in camouflage from front to rear. First thing first, we noticed that the upcoming crossover seems to have grown in size, and the overall design appears to be more angular than before.

The spy shots of the 2023 Honda CR-V are available, and the new SUV looks fresh. First of all, we noticed that the front end is revised, featuring a slightly bigger grille flanked by sharper LED headlights. The side profile has been also caught on objective wearing the same lines as the previous model.

Also, we can see, the new wheels are present, probably 17 inches. On the other hand, at the back, this model remains unchanged. It features attractive LED taillights that are slightly slimmer than before.

Cabin Updates

One image from the side allows us to take a peek inside the 2023 Honda CR-V. Like the previous generation, the new SUV will come in the same form, allowing five people to fit inside. The cabin looks modern, and the dashboard has new tablet-style infotainment on top of the center console. The fun fact is that the touchscreen sits as opposed to the current CR-V.

If you are looking for a model with more room inside, the Honda Pilot is capable of accommodating the third row and seven seats. Like before, the Honda CR-V comes in four trims: LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring. The least expensive LX offers standard Honda Sensing, single-zone automatic climate control, 6-way manual-adjust driver’s seat, cruise control, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a 5-inch color screen with Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Other features that are part of upper trims are a much bigger screen of 7 inch, navigation, a heated steering wheel, wireless charge pad, and a 9-speaker/330-watt premium audio system.

The new 2023 Honda CR-V is the SUV that will be remain unchanged under the hood. That means we can expect once again to see a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that develops 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. Under the current model, this unit results in highway fuel economy of 34 mpg on front-drive models, while with the AWD version two mpg more.

Also, it’s helpful to know that the CR-V’s turbocharged engine comes standard with a CVT automatic transmission, featuring a Sport mode for added responsiveness. Moreover, in both front and all-wheel-drive models, towing is limited to just 1,500 pounds.

The debut of the redesigned 2023 Honda CR-V is likely to happen next year. From some speculation, it could arrive in the second quarter. As we mentioned, the upcoming SUV has spied testing wearing camo from front to rear.

Its design looks impressive, and the body reveals a slightly bigger grille that’s flanked by sharper LED headlights. As for the price, we can expect a slight jump compared to the current model that starts at $25,000.
