By The new generation of Honda’s compact car has been around for a while. It received excellent reviews, while the high-performance Type R was introduced recently. However, we somehow feel that something is missing. If you can’t guess what, we will give you a hint – the current model is available as a sedan and as a hatchback. Now you remember that there is no coupe body style, something that’s been an integral part of this nameplate for generations. Still, do not despair because, if we can trust rumors, the Japanese manufacturer could bring back this body style already with the 2024 Honda Civic Coupe.
According to these rumors, this model could be revived already in the next year. Of course, it would adopt all the novelties introduced with last year’s redesign, starting from the new design language, new interiors, new powertrain options etc.

2024 Honda Civic Coupe Design
So, the most prominent part of this version of the Civic would be its body style. The mechanical aspect of the vehicle would remain untouched. In other words, we would see the same ride quality, which offers pretty engaging handling but doesn’t sacrifice comfort too much.
Visually, the 2024 Honda Civic Coupe would adopt the new design language and feature the same front-end design. On the other hand, the rear end would be characterized by a typical sloping roofline, while the rear end would probably be shorter, in order to provide a sportier stance. Naturally, there is plenty of room for various exclusive styling details, starting from the unique exterior trim, unique wheel designs and maybe even unique color options.
Interior
The cabin design would be the same but also different compared to the rest of the lineup. The same would be the dashboard design and the front part of the cabin. In this aspect, we don’t expect to see significant differences compared to the rest of the lineup, with the same dash layout, which looks attractive and comes equipped with pretty nice materials. The front seats are shaped pretty well and offer pretty good comfort and support.
On the other hand, the back part of the cabin would offer less room compared to sedan and hatchback. This particularly refers to the headroom, which could make some trouble to taller passengers, due to the sloping roof layout. For the same reason, the cargo area would be smaller compared to the hatchback.
Features
This aspect shouldn’t bring significant changes, at least when it comes to tech and safety features. Therefore, base versions should come equipped with goodies like a 7-inch touch screen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, a USB port, an eight-speaker stereo, an analog gauge cluster, automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start and remote start.
Among upgrades, we would expect to see goodies like a 9-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, wireless device charging, HD Radio, satellite radio, a 12-speaker stereo and additional USB ports, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control and a moonroof.
When it comes to safety features, we presume that base models would come with goodies like a rearview camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high beams etc. Also, count on upgrades like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors etc.
2024 Honda Civic Coupe Engines
When it comes to the powertrain, we don’t expect surprises. So, the offer would start with the good-old, super-reliable 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated inline-four, which puts out around 158 horsepower. Of course, we also count on the 1.5-liter turbo-four, which puts out 180 horsepower. Finally, the 2024 Honda Civic Si Coupe would be the crown of the offer, with a max output of 200 horsepower.
The previous generation of Civic coupe was offered only with a manual transmission, so the company would probably do the same with the new model. Of course, we are talking about Honda’s excellent 6-speed gearbox.

If we can trust rumors, the 2024 Honda Civic Coupe could arrive already by the end of this year. We estimate that base models would cost around 25.000 dollars.
