The 2024 Honda CR-V will reportedly get a comprehensive overhaul next year. This SUV is a real example of an increasing trend toward the enlargement of small sport utility vehicles, such as the new Kia Sportage. As far as we know, it will keep the same engine lineup as its predecessor. This means that the base model will continue to be powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that has a capacity of 1.5 liters and produces 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque.
On the other hand, the optional hybrid engine is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that is rated at 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, this represents a significant improvement over the previous model.
2024 Honda CR-V Facelift
The 2024 Honda CR-V looks very modern. Its new appearance will prevent comparisons to its forebears, although certain recognizable elements will return. The hexagonal design of the earlier grille is expanded upon by the upright grille. It can be finished in chrome or black and has an accent strip that spans the front. On top of that, Honda added more small LED headlights with a small kink that makes them stand out.
The profile of this SUV has been changed as well, featuring an attractive creased shoulder line and an angular window surround. From the rear, the new CR-L-shaped V’s taillights resemble those of the previous model, although they are pointier and have more LED detailing. Depending on the model, 18- or 19-inch wheels are used.
More Comfort Inside
On the inside, the 2024 Honda CR-V will get some small improvements. We can expect more comfort thanks to the new seats. It aims to provide even more of its renowned utility with bigger dimensions and additional passenger room. Modern technology is combined with an appealing interior design inspired by the small Civic vehicle.
The CR-V, as standard, offers several very desirable amenities, such as Honda Sensing, a power sunroof, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and a brand-new 7-inch infotainment system. As before, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Also, if this is not enough to satisfy your needs, the manufacturer offers more optional features, including a 9-inch model that has wireless smartphone connection capabilities. Every CR-V comes with a number of standard driving aids, such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assistance.
2024 Honda CR-V Engine Options
As we said, the 2024 Honda CR-V is the SUV that will use the same engines as the outgoing one. The base engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that can produce 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque.
You can also get an optional hybrid powertrain that uses a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder rated at 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the current hybrid model, this is a nice improvement.
