2021 Honda CMX 1100 Rebel: All About the New “Bobber”

The new Japanese “bobber” 2021 Honda CMX 1100 Rebel has been finally confirmed. Honda recently reveal that this bike should be fully revealed at the beginning of 2021. The forthcoming Honda CMX 1100 Rebel is an excellent option if you’re seeking for a adventure and sporty motorcycles. It’s also mighty, and is powered by a 1,084cc engine. Interestly, the same engine resides in the latest generation CRF1100L Africa Twin.

According to the manufactures, this engine should produce at least 87 hp at 7,000 rpm and a healthy 72 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm. The machine uses a DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) for either automatic or semi-automatic shifting.

At the heart of the newest Honda CMX 1100 Rebel is lying down the powerful 1,084cc engine that we also saw on the latest generation CRF1100L Africa Twin. However, according to Honda, this engine has some of mechanical and electronic changes.

Honda claimed that this engine should make 87 hp at 7,000rpm and a 72lb-ft of torque at 4,750rpm. Interestingly, the engine also features a new crank with 32% extra flywheel mass to aid the bike’s low-end response. Basically, the machine inherits the same 270° crank as the Africa Twin to mimic a V-twin delivery. On top of that, it uses DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) for either automatic or semi-automatic shifting.

Release Date and Price

The new Honda CMX 1100 Rebel should be joining the Rebel fleets sometime in 2021. Most likely that sales will start during summertime.

Besides great styling, CMX 1100 Rebel comes with a very potent engine. From some early reports, the new bike will start at $9,299, without a destination charge.
