Honda’s new Rebel 1100 has been officially postponed for the next year due to the Coronavirus outbreak. According to the latest Japanese news, the fresh 2022 Honda Rebel 1100 will most likely arrive in the first quartal of 2022. The new bike will feature many improvements over the previous version, including straightening performance, stiffer chassis, and better suspension.

On top of that, the Honda Rebel 1100 also comes equipped with our anti-lock brake system and cruise control. The Unicam engine is the highlight of this bike, and you can choose between revolutionary automatic DCT transmission or a conventional six-speed manual.

2022 Honda Rebel 1100 Design

The upcoming 2022 Honda Rebel 1100 offers more aggressive styling than the much lighter 300 and 500 models. Generally, all bikes share the same DNA, but Rebel 1100 adds some extra features. For a start, it comes with more black accents available on the frame, engine, exhaust, and other bodywork elements. Generally, this bike looks great during the day and even better at night.

Ride quality is much better thanks to the new low-slung solo seat that rests at 27.5 inches off the deck. On top of that, Honda added a pair of nitrogen-filled remote-reservoir shocks, and a special spring, resulting in comfort on all terrains. For visibility, the Rebel 1100 uses an attractive four-projector LED headlight and taillight. While the stock bike is fairly bare, Honda also offers many optional accessories that let you dress your bike on its own.

The 2022 Honda Rebel 1100 is the bike that comes exclusively with a Unicam engine design. Thanks to that, it features a compact cylinder head for optimal engine placement. On the other hand, it benefits from superior performance, thanks to the entire cylinder-head layout.

With the proven 1084cc liquid-cooled Unicam® four-stroke 22.5° parallel-twin, you’ll have plenty of power. It cranks out 86 horsepower at 7,000 rpm with 72 pound-feet of torque at 4,750 rpm. As mentioned, a six-speed manual transmission is a stock, but if you prefer a more straightforward riding experience, the Dual Clutch Transmission is available as optional.

Release Date and Price

Reportedly, the release date of the newest Honda Rebel 1100 has been postponed for the following year. The main reason for that is the Coronavirus outbreak. Moreover, many believe that the new version will most likely arrive in the first quartal of 2022.

Honda revealed that the base Rebel 1100 dressed in Metallic Black or Bordeaux Red Metallic would start at $9,299. However, if you prefer DCT over six-speed transmission, then expect at least a price of $10,000.
